My approach to therapy focuses on supporting you in developing insight into issues and behavior that interfere with healing and making the changes you want in your life. I will assist you in bringing unconscious beliefs and patterns into awareness, as well as help you better understand your past and how it impacts your present life.
Self-awareness and insight will enable you to make different choices, improve relationships with others, and cultivate self-acceptance and authenticity. A holistic approach means including not only the emotional and relational aspects of your life, but also spirituality, cultural heritage, physical health, and the connection between mind and body. I invite you to explore and integrate all dimensions of your life in our work together, and to include complementary therapies, if desired.
In harmony with a psychoanalytic/psychodynamic approach, I also incorporate mindfulness techniques, yoga practices, cognitive-behavioral strategies, writing, and dream-work, as well as exploration of existential concerns.
